About the Archive
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Documentation Archive preserves structured, evidence-aware records for research, public reference, and historical continuity. It separates verified information, reported information, pending verification, and unknown details.
The archive applies neutral documentation standards: record provenance, distinguish certainty from allegation, protect sensitive material, and publish corrections when credible new information is available.
Editorial principles

Neutrality, verification, and correction
The archive does not replace formal investigation, legal process, or primary-source review. It documents publicly available material, identifies limitations, and updates records when reliable evidence changes the known record.

Corrections and source review
To request a correction or submit source material, provide the record title, a concise description of the proposed change, and source context. Submission does not guarantee publication; material is reviewed against the archive’s verification and safety standards.
Verification labels
Verified: supported by the archive’s review threshold. Reported Information: attributed claims not independently confirmed. Pending Verification: material under review. Unknown: information not established by available sources.
TRUST & VERIFICATION
Records marked Verified are reviewed against the archive’s published standard, including review with reference to material from the Jammu Kashmir Human Rights Organization (JKHRO) and the Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (KJAAC), and cross-referenced against available independent sources.
This exists for one reason: to make it impossible for rumour, propaganda, and manufactured claims to pass as record. Where evidence is incomplete or contested, the archive says so on the record rather than filling the gap. Read the full documentation methodology or submit a correction or new evidence.
